Hello, I’m Lucy, a professional pet portrait artist living and working in London, United Kingdom.

The artist
About
Since loving animals and art for as long as I can remember, I decided to combine the two when I was 16, and since then I have produced hundreds of portraits for customers and art exhibitions. I studied Biology at university, specialising in ecology and conservation, which inspires lots of my art.
I started drawing in secondary school and achieved As in GCSE and A-level art. I then went on to study biology at university and finished my degree in April 2023. I have always loved animals, and drawing them has become my passion.
My pet portraits are created on a commission basis for clients across the world. I draw in a highly detailed, realistic style of all species and breeds of animals.

How it works
The process
01
Book in your portrait
Firstly, decide on the size of portrait you’d like to order.
Secondly, pick out a photo you would like to be drawn. I often suggest emailing me a few photos so we can discuss which would be best to work from.
Lastly, send me an email with the size you’d like and pictures of the pet, and I take a small deposit before starting.
The rest is then down to me!
02
Drawing
Once I start your drawing, I will email you to let you know that I have begun.
Completion time depends on the size ordered as well as the complexity of the portrait.
I will be able to give you a rough estimate of how long your portrait is going to take.
03
Packaging and postage
Upon completion, I will email you a photo of the final portrait.
Once you’re 100% happy with the final result and the balance is paid, I will package it in tissue paper and a secure box.
I post using 24-hour tracked delivery, so you should receive the portrait 1–2 days after completion.
Before you send photos
Choosing a reference photo

Good reference photo
An ideal reference photo is a good-quality head shot of your pet, preferably in natural lighting. This photo is good as it’s a close-up head shot of the animal with good lighting.

Bad reference photo
This photo wouldn’t be good to work from. The image is very blurry and taken too far away, and the lighting is too dark.
